Hexagon is the global electronic banking service of the HSBC Group, specifically designed for the corporate market. HSBC, which is controlled by the Bank of England, recently bought Republic National Bank and most of the Bank of Malta. HSBC is a participating institution of the Mondex system, with trials in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia and United States, and plans to market the smart card system in the U.S.
